I started weeding my garden today and gave up because I got tired of slapping at mosquitoes.
Did the mint at least smell nice as you ripped it out?
Yup–mint smelt wonderful and since it was flowering it was easy to spot.
We’re pretty lazy when it comes to weeding the flower beds so there’s always lots of mint and clover and grass in the midst of the perennials. This year, tho’, the mint has gotten out of hand. It’s one of the many “invasive” species we let be. I’m fairly certain that our tangled gardens annoy many of our pesticide-using neighbours. But the tangle stays.
