Thirteen hours watching other people labour begins as a guilty pleasure, gradually shades into an absurd waste of time, then a kind of labour itself as you hold on grimly for the payoff that will justify the investment of time. I think it would have been nice if they had aired a spot around eight or nine o’clock in which Tim addresses the audience with words something like,”Everyone all right? Will you make it to work tomorrow? Did you remember to eat? Carry on then.”
